Web-based Audio Recorder

"A while back my old tape recorder broke, so I decided to recreate it in Svelte and use it as a project to learn and share: You can record your songs onto 4 different tracks (in the analogue days, it used the stereo tracks of the A and B side of the tape). On my Macbook there is very little to no latency, so it is actually usable.

All the recordings stay in the browser, and you are able to also save your "cassette" tapes to your hard-drive. I've recorded a couple of demo songs in the browser to test it out.

The recorder itself is built using Svelte 5 and the website around it is based on SvelteKit. Most of the components consist of handcrafted CSS: lots of drop-shadows, bevels and insets to make it look like the skeuomorphism look of 90's audio plugins."
